Mobility Lab report generation fails with a "side by side error"

Apparently, the Matlab MCR does not install the Microsoft redistributables that it should. If you encounter this issue, download the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package). At the time this article was written, this package was available at :

32-bit:

64-bit:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/confirmation.aspx?id=18471

After downloading this file:

• Uninstall the Matlab MCR
• Run the installer that you just downloaded from Micrsosoft.
• Re-install the Matlab MCR
• Try the report generation again.
