Change Log
Current release: June 16, 2022
Updates, changes, and bug fixes in the June 16, 2022 release:
- Replacement of the log4j Java library to address a security vulnerability in the version previously bundled with this software. See this for more information.
Updates, changes, and bug fixes in the March 29, 2019 release:
- V1 Hardware Firmware versions (unchanged from previous release)
- Access Point: 10/04/2016
- Docking Station: 11/18/2015
- Opal: 10/06/2016
- V2 Hardware Firmware versions (new)
- Access Point & Opal: 03/15/2019
- Important fix for battery charging behavior to minimize internal heating, increase battery charge, and extend battery life
- [Motion Studio Mode] Added support for high sample rates (20-800Hz), which can be configured in 1Hz increments. Note that you will be informed if you configuration exceeds the throughput of your access points. For example, one access point can only stream 800Hz data from up to 2 Opals.
- Support for configuring and extracting logged data from within Mobility Lab without having to exit to the Motion Studio View
- Improved orientation estimation algorithm.
- New "Data Transfer" export format to simplify transfer of analysis results into external database
- Asymmetry metrics calculated for bilateral metrics. These are (optionally) available for export in the Metric CSV formats (compact & verbose)
- Test/Condition filter in export dialog now functional
- Fix for date of birth viewing/exporting when performed outside of the timezone where the data was collected
- Now saving the timezone where each trial is collected to facilitate proper date handling
- Numerous small fixes and improvements
- Mobility Exchange Updates
- Fix for 2 known issues when collecting data in offline mode, which could result in missing or duplicate data on the MX server
- Attempt upload of data from ML clients prior to a logout due to inactivity period
- Simplified the process of the initial connection to the Mobility Exchange server
Updates, changes, and bug fixes in the June 14, 2018 release:
- V1 Hardware Firmware versions (unchanged from previous release)
- Access Point: 10/04/2016
- Docking Station: 11/18/2015
- Opal: 10/06/2016
- V2 Hardware Firmware versions (new)
- Access Point & Opal: 06/12/2018
- Tests and test conditions can now be selectively hidden from the “New Test”->”Test Selection” screen to simplify the options.
- Increased precision of metric event timing from hundredths to thousandths of a second. This change does not prompt the user to re-analyze all data. If customers want this precision for past recordings, they can optionally re-analyze their recordings through the Tools->”Reanalyze Data”->”Force” option.
- Added ability to filter out PHI (subject name & date of birth) from both CSV and XML export formats.
- Analysis CSV format version increased to 5. The change reflects the inclusion of the subject name and date of birth in these files.
- Enabled viewing of annotations within the raw data plots.
- Annotations can now be exported/re-imported when backing up your data.
- Added HTTP API to trigger export of data to the local hard disk. This enables some types of integration with external systems.
- Added support for exporting the audit log for the workspace. This log includes a time series of atomic modifications made in the workspace. Each entry documents the object that was edited (e.g., Subject X), the type of edit (create, update, or delete), the nature of the edit (e.g., subject ID changed from Y to Z), and the user logged in when the edit was made.
- Display all available metrics by default (which metrics are displayed can be controlled by the user)
- Added support for capturing button events while streaming. These end up in the resulting HDF file as would an annotation captured through the software recording interface.
- Updates to external synchronization logic to improve behavior on some systems with higher USB latency.
- Improved application locking to prevent multiple instances from being launched and conflicting with each other.
- Improved firmware/bootloader update logic to only update firmware if the bootloader is already up to date.
- Numerous small improvements and bug fixes.
