When docking your monitors on a Windows computer, they are treated as any other USB hard drive. By default, this typically means that a Windows Explorer window is opened for each one. This gets messy. To disable this behavior, do the following:
- Click on the Windows "Start" button
- Type "autoplay" in the "Search programs and files" field at the bottom of the "Start" menu. Press the enter key to select the "AutoPlay" option.
- Uncheck the "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" option.
- Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.
You should be good to go.
